In Expedition, players can join forces with their friends and fellow guild members to challenge powerful boss monsters. Damage dealt is displayed in real-time, making this feature a fun new option for Heirs looking to enjoy some friendly competition.

By using “Wanted Posters” obtained from Hunt, players can form an Expedition team with up to six other people and take on some tough new enemies. Players who join these battles will receive rewards and boss points for their participation, with additional rewards according to the results of the Expedition and even more that can be claimed from the Expedition Depot based on the total number of boss points they’ve earned.

Smilegate Megaport has also released a brand new, summer-themed Side Story for players to enjoy. The new story, “Seaside Showdown,” is available starting on July 23 and centers on the members of the Phantom CIC, who have been invited by Karin to enjoy their summer vacation at Reingar Resort.

Area 5 of the Labyrinth Nixied’s Sanctum, “Frostproof Valley,” is now available as well, with six pieces of Level 78 Equipment that can be obtained by exploring this new area.

Finally, the first season of the real-time PvP mode “World Arena,” also known as the “Showdown Season,” has come to an end. With pre-season returning, players will have the opportunity to reshape their teams and tactics in preparation for the next season. Epic Seven, a turn-based mobile RPG developed by Super Creative and published by Smilegate Megaport, has announced the return of its collaboration with the legendary fighting game Guilty Gear (GUILTY GEAR Xrd REV 2) on April 30.

The collaboration between Epic Seven and Guilty Gear first took place in April 2019 and included a special Side Story featuring three Heroes from the world of Guilty Gear working alongside Epic Seven’s own Heroes. These collaboration Heroes were available for players to collect and add to their own team, and received positive feedback from players thanks to their unmistakable Guilty Gear style combined with an Epic Seven twist.

Since the event’s end last April, players from all around the world have been eagerly requesting the return of the Guilty Gear collaboration, and now in 2020, Smilegate Megaport is bringing it back.

The Heroes “Sol Badguy,” “Baiken,” and “Dizzy” are available for three weeks starting April 30, and the special Side Story “Visitors from Another World” is also available for Heirs to play. Furthermore, players can receive Sol Badguy, his Artifact “Junkyard Dog,” and the collaboration Artifact “Portrait of the Saviors” all for free through this special Side Story. Alongside these three Heroes, the new Hero “Elphelt Valentine” will be available for the first time ever, with more information being announced in the coming days.

There will also be a special event running until May 28 in commemoration of the collaboration. Simply by logging onto the game for a week, players will receive a 4-5 star Hero Summon Ticket as well as other great rewards, with even more rewards available to players who log in for two or more consecutive days. Additionally, there will be four buff events running until May 10, including a Free Unequip Event, increased Gold drops, and increased Rune drops.

The collaboration isn’t the only new content this update is bringing—Epic Seven’s protagonist “Ras” is receiving his long-awaited Specialty Change, and a new Labyrinth area, “Nixied’s Sanctum Zone 4 – Icicle Cave,” is now available as well. Last but not least, the Japanese media pack has been updated, allowing fans of the Japanese voiceover to enjoy even more of their favorite Heroes’ voices in Japanese.

Epic Seven, a turn-based mobile RPG developed by Super Creative and published by Smilegate Megaport, announced the launch of the Re:Birth update, which focuses on the start of the first official season of the real-time PvP mode “World Arena” as well as the release of other new content, on April 17.

World Arena, a real-time PvP mode in which players from all across the world can compete with one another, has ended its pre-season and is now beginning its first official season, the “Showdown Season.” At the start of the new season, players’ Victory Points are reset, and after completing ten placement battles, they are placed in a league and can collect Victory Points.

In the Showdown Season, two new features have been added. First, a “Pre-Ban” system has been introduced in which each player selects one Hero to ban prior to the start of the battle, and second, players can enjoy battling free from the burdens of maintaining their rankings and Victory Points by participating in friendly “Mock Battles.” Players may experience an improved PvP mode through Mock Battles by creating new strategies and different combinations of Heroes.

Additionally, with this update, new features, including “Hunt” stages 12 and 13, “Equipment Reforging,” “Catalyst Journal,” “Hero Stories,” and the new Hero “Sinful Angelica” are all now available. Equipment Reforging has been introduced, allowing where players to take level 85 Equipment that has been fully enhanced and upgrade it to level 90 Equipment. Furthermore, Hunt has been extended to thirteen stages, and in these higher stages, players will encounter powerful boss monsters with even tougher designs and new attack patterns.

Hero Stories, which allows players to replay previously published Side Stories, and the Catalyst Journal, which provides information on where to find the Catalysts that are needed for strengthening Heroes, are also now available. Finally, the new Moonlight Hero Sinful Angelica, a Hero who excels in increasing her allies’ Attack stats and preventing enemies from reviving, has been added to the Hero roster.

In commemoration of the Re:Birth update, Smilegate Megaport is also providing a plethora of special benefits to Epic Seven fans. From April 17 to May 8, a free Hero summoning event is available, providing players with up to ten free summons a day, and a Free Unequip Event will take place from April 16 to 19.

In particular, we believe Mock Battling, a feature requested by many players, has the potential to further expand Epic Seven’s PvP mode in the future.
