Developed by MANGLEDmaw Games, Amanda the Adventurer is a found footage style horror title that’s a throwback to the television edutainment era. In the game, players embody Riley Park who inherits their Aunt Kate’s house following her death. The adventure starts with the seemingly banal task of digging through the reclusive aunt’s attic, where Riley comes across a box full of VHS tapes. Watching through them, they discover that the tapes contain episodes of a long-lost children’s show starring the plucky Amanda the Adventurer and her cowardly yet loyal sidekick, Woolie the Sheep. 

At first glance, the videos seem innocently childish and wholesome, depicting two best buddies as they explore and learn all about their wonderful world. However, the longer the videos are watched, the more a creeping, sickening feeling emerges that something in the tapes is watching back. Every day’s another adventure!

Get ready to visit the many beautiful isles of the Lental region in the New Pokémon Snap game for the Nintendo Switch family of systems. Filled with diverse ecosystems, from dense jungles to vast deserts, the archipelago of the region is an untouched natural marvel, packed to the brim with Pokémon just waiting to be discovered!

In New Pokémon Snap, players will take on the role of a budding Pokémon photographer and work with the Lental region expert, Professor Mirror, and his assistant, Rita, on an ecological survey to photograph Pokémon thriving in nature. In a new trailer released today, additional footage and details were unveiled for New Pokémon Snap, including its April 30 launch date. “New Pokémon Snap presents a fun twist on a Pokémon adventure, with enchanting gameplay that lets players see some of their favorite Pokémon in a different light,” said Nick Chavez, Nintendo of America’s Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “This new game is a fun addition to the strong lineup of Pokémon titles available on Nintendo Switch, and we can’t wait to see everyone’s pictures when New Pokémon Snap launches on April 30.”

Wild Pokémon are all around and have adapted to thrive in all the various natural expanses of the Lental region. They may be seen living in groups patrolling their territory, wandering serenely on their own or even playing with other Pokémon species. With a careful eye and a photographer’s keen sense of adventure, you’ll be able to spot Pokémon lurking in all sorts of places, including secluded hideaways … and sometimes swooping down suddenly from the sky! Players will be able to interact with Pokémon by throwing a Fluffruit, a tasty fruit found across the region, to catch their attention or watch them eat. You can even use this fruit to help draw out Pokémon into a variety of situations to see how they react. These serendipitous opportunities present a special challenge, and catching them with your camera at the perfect moment may gain you higher scores.

Professor Mirror will evaluate and score players’ photos taken on their adventures. Pokémon photography is evaluated based on the subjects’ poses, how large they appear, how directly they’re facing the camera and where they fall in frame. As players take more photos and fulfill research on their journey, they may see Pokémon look and behave in entirely new ways. Players will have to take many photos and use their highest-scoring shots to fill out their Photodex, a collection of Pokémon photographs.

The untouched depths of the Lental region may sound daunting at first, but don’t worry. Explorers will hop into the NEO-ONE, an auto-driving vehicle, which will steer them across various paths on each island and will help free up time to focus on snapping the perfect shots. Throughout your missions, you may even get to see Pokémon looking and behaving differently than ever before. These special moments are memories to savor, so, luckily, you’ll always have your trusty camera on hand to capture them for Pokémon posterity.

Some Pokémon and vegetation that players may discover will appear to have a special glow. These strange occurrences are found only in the Lental region and are known as the Illumina Phenomenon. Jump into the trusty NEO-ONE and uncover the mystery behind the Illumina Phenomenon!

Crowfall, the competitive Throne War MMO, announced its latest Game Update, The Revival, today. The Revival delivers a significantly expanded set of options players can choose from to create uniquely differentiated Crow character builds. The system offers players more options in how they play while forcing tougher choices at each decision point.

We knew that giving players options was key, so we’ve extended our character specialization system, adding another layer to ensure players had more choices. With The Revival release, Crowfall is introducing Domains. Domains offer players the choice of one of 15 different groups of bundled Disciplines from which players can choose one (from a set of three) based on their chosen sub-class. Domains are themed around a style of play, for example the “Domain of War” or the “Domain of Shadow.” Within the system, there may be Disciplines that appear in more than one Domain. To be more clear, let’s say you wanted the Ghost Army power. To get that, you need the “Grim Reaper” major discipline. That discipline is found in both the Plague and Death Domains… which makes them available to Assassins, Duelists, Rangers,Frostweavers, Knights, and Myrmidons.

Ultimately, the addition of Domains offers deeper specialization by virtue of how the disciplines you gain in a Domain combine with your other powers and your promotion class. For example, you might have a single poison buff that allows you to apply a poison to your enemy when you attack them. But if you choose a Domain focused on poisons and select the relevant Disciplines, you could stack additional poison buffs and apply them all simultaneously intensifying the impact. That benefit is gained by your choice of a Domain and specific Disciplines within it. Two players with the same sub-class and the same Domain may choose different Disciplines creating a broad set of combinations – even when choosing the same Domain and sub-class.

“This update is a tribute to our players as it was their feedback that led us to innovate on the system. The system empowers players to be the architect of their Crow’s unique build – the power is in the player’s hands, it is only limited by our player’s imaginations,” said J. Todd Coleman, creative director for the game.

Crowfall is currently in Beta and will continue to release new game updates as they continue on the path to launch. The Revival also includes unique Campaign Rewards, each campaign war will now reward winning teams with unique rewards at the close of the Campaign and lastly, players will also see the game take another step forward in performance optimization.
